My Personal Leadership Evolution
Hi, I’m Wayne Tallman. I’ve spent over two decades in senior leadership managing complex teams, driving results, winning awards, and climbing the ladder across multiple industries.
But the constant drive for the next big win came at a cost. Despite my earlier success, I reached a point where I suddenly felt less effective, less influential, less fulfilled.
I thought being a great leader meant having all the answers myself. No surprise, that wasn’t working for me or anyone else.
In a pivotal moment I got support. Through personal coaching and something called the Leadership Journey, I realized that the same strengths that had driven my success- my intensity, attention to detail, big ideas- were now getting in the way. Actually, they had been getting in my way the whole time and didn't realize what it was costing me: trust, influence, relationships.
Coaching and the Journey gave me the self-awareness, emotional insight, and toolkits that transformed my approach. It changed how I led, how I communicated, how I influenced- and it helped me land a Senior Vice President role at a publicly traded company.
More than that, it helped me become the kind of leader I actually wanted to be. And that's why I started Human Learning Evolved.
