My Personal Leadership Evolution
Hi, I’m Wayne Tallman. I’ve spent over two decades in senior leadership. I’ve had success, won many awards, climbed the ladder.
But along the way, I was under constant pressure- most of it self-imposed. And at some point, I felt like my core strengths- drive, attention to detail, big ideas- were actually starting to work against me.
Pressure, frustration, and self-doubt crept in. I thought I had to do it all myself... and that mindset led me to overmanage, micromanage, and push too hard. And no surprise, that wasn’t working for me or anyone else. I needed help.
That’s when I found executive coaching and went through a Leadership Journey™. It was eye-opening. I thought I knew myself, but coaching helped me uncover blind spots, see the patterns I was stuck in but couldn’t name, and recognize how I was actually showing up. It changed how I led. How I communicated. How I influenced.
And it also helped me land a Senior Vice President role at a publicly traded company. Something that had always felt just out of reach.
But more than that...It helped me become the kind of leader I actually wanted to be. And I realized if I had done this kind of work earlier in my career, it would’ve transformed how I led, how I built relationships, and how fulfilled I felt at work.
